GOODBYE TO OUR DEAR FRIEND AND PRESIDENT BONNIE.

Bonnie Branson Campbell    
Longtime Anchorage resident Bonnie Lynn Branson Campbell, 56, died July 8, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn.
A memorial service was held Friday at Most Precious Blood in Glidden, Wis. A celebration of life will take place at a later date in Anchorage.
Bonnie was born April 21, 1952, in Burns, Ore., to Shirley and Alfred "Pete" Peterson. She moved to Glidden, attended Precious Blood Catholic grade school and graduated from Glidden High School in 1970.
Bonnie attended cosmetology school in Eau Claire, Wis., and worked at the House of Charm in Superior, Wis., until her sense of adventure took her to Anchorage, where she had lived for the last 35 years.
Bonnie owned and operated a salon at Providence Extended Care Center and had a salon in her home.
Her family wrote: "Bonnie's passion for travel took her around the world, and no destination was ever too far for Bonnie to travel to see her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters."
Bonnie was a member of the Lions Club of Anchorage, serving in many offices. She was district president of the 49A Alaska and Canada Lionesses from 1990-91 and president of the Eagle River Sleeping Lady Lions at the time of her death. Bonnie was a leadership trainer for the Lions and attended many international conventions. She was also active in many local community services.
Survivors are her husband, William "Tim" Campbell; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Branson, Peter Branson, and Bill and Misty Campbell; granddaughters, Aunica, Olivia and Sophie Campbell; mother-in-law, Fern Little; brothers and sisters-in-law, Guy and Patty Peterson and Ricky and Jean Peterson; nieces and their spouses, Jennifer and Jerry Meys, Michele and Rory Michalski, Jody and Chris Peterson and Jaimie and Ryan Peterson; nephews and their spouses, Jesse and Jillian Peterson and Nick and Lisa Peterson; several great-nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles, Jean and Del Stauber, Pam and Walt Talelski, Katherine and Jack Kurtz, Florence and Francis Hart and Cele and Alvin Zach.
